The Acer Swift 3 is beautifully designed and seem like the Swift 7 model. Acer has used solid aluminum for the primary body. The chrome hinges with aluminum gives a rigid feel when hold. Swift 3 has the dimension of 12.16 x 8.43 x 0.63, just 0.63-inch-deep and weighs around 1.4Kg which is slightly more than Dell’s 13-inch laptops. The Acer text logo is submerged in the aluminum on the lid center in chromium finish and is also on the front just below the display.
Swift 3 also consists of a fingerprint reader with faster speed than other Swift’s model. The camera and microphone are on the top-center as usual.

The 14inch 1920×1080 pixel IPS panel display is pretty good in color saturation but limits the viewing angles. The keyboard of Swift 3 does hold high flexibility and keys are smooth as well as springy which makes it perfect for longer usage. Touchpad’s clicks and gestures feels smooth and non-sticky. Speakers are placed below the laptop just like Lenovo IdeaPad series.

We have Assassins Creed Origin with high settings on the top and Chrome, Firefox both opened with 10+ tabs and still doesn’t get a single lag.

With a 512GB of Western Digital SSD, enter the world of quick file transfer with speed of 900+mbps. The speakers perform well and produce a louder sound. The speaker should have placed on the top as the current positions restrict the sound when the laptop is on the bed or similar surface.

The temperature may get a bit high around the number pad and near the laptop sticker while gaming or rendering a video because of its thin design and improper vents position.

Acer claims to give 12hr of battery life but the 48WH battery doesn’t stand for more than 4-5 hour when heavily used with enabling Wi-Fi and maximum reach till 7-8 hour while working or browsing. The i7 processor along with GPU is also responsible for high battery use.

The base model which has i7 8th generation, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD and the 13.3inch display is available for around Rs 40,000 with a year warranty. The price is appreciable considering the processor and hard drive of the laptop. Acer Swift 3 comes in color like Red, Black, silver and Rosy pink.
