Step 4: Once this has been done, in order to verify your account, the new ID and password would be sent to your registered e-mail address. A verification code would also be sent on your mobile number which would check its authenticity.
Step 5: You would now have to enter the code that you have received on your mobile to authenticate and once that is done, click on submit.

Step 1: On the official IRCTC website, you would get an option of entering your account. Enter the correct ID, password and capcha code and then press on Login.
Step 2: Once inside your account, you would get an option to book online tickets. Click on that and it would ask you for your current place and destination along with journey date and preferred travel class. Once you have done all that, click on search option.
Step 3: There you would get all the available trains depending on your preferences. If there is no trains available on that date, there would be options available to modify your searches and change the date as well as the number of passengers. You can check the availability of seats on all the trains along with the fare.
Step 4: Once you have researched about all that, you can then click on book so as to confirm the seats on your preferred train.
