The Indian smartphone market is extremely variant and competitive. Both Xiaomi and OnePlus have emerged as leading players in the market. Recently Xiaomi released the Mi 10 5G smartphone with supreme tech and a super sexy design. OnePlus8 Pro is the smartphone’s biggest competitor in the market and choosing between the two can be pretty tricky. Fret not! Selectyourdeals has done its research and is here to help. The Mi 10 starts with a price of Rs 49,999 while the OnePlus 8 Pro starts from Rs 54,999.
Camera Comparison
One of the most coveted features in any smartphone is a good quality camera for easily capturing one’s special moments. Xiaomi Mi 10 5G boasts an impressive camera with a 108 MP primary sensor which is OIS enabled and uses a 7P lens. The camera is capable of recording 8K UHD videos and has a quad-camera for niche clicking modes. But the 2MP macro and depth sensors do not make sense in a smartphone priced at Rs 49,999.
The OnePlus 8 Pro also has a quad-camera but its primary sensor is of 48 MP with f/1.78 aperture lens. It also has an ultra-wide-angle lens which seems better than the one on the Mi 10. This smartphone is also OIS enabled and can shoot superior quality UHD videos and photos. But there is no 8K support in the OnePlus 8 Pro. Having said that, both the cameras are extremely well designed and well suited for your every need.
Display/Look Comparison
Both the smartphones look very exclusive and have beautiful AMOLED displays. Both are coated with glass bezels and look eye-catching. The Mi 10 measures 6.40 x 2.94 x 0.35 inches while the One Plus 8 Pro measures 6.51 x 2.93 x 0.33 inches. The One Plus 8 Pro is lighter than the Mi 10 weighing in at 199g while the latter weighs 208g.
A smartphone’s look is completed by its colour . The OnePlus 8 Pro comes in 3 colours namely Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue, and Onyx Black. While the Mi 10 comes in two colours, the Coral Green and the Twilight Grey.
The OnePlus 8 Pro is a bit brighter than the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G with a Quad HD+ screen emanating 1,444 nits of brightness. The Mi 10 has a 1,120 nits brightness level.
Phone Processor/ Battery / Sound Quality Comparison
The processors of both the smartphones are exactly the same with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. The Mi 10 will be available in two variants, the 8GB + 128GB and the 8GB+ 256 GB. The OnePlus 8 Pro is available in the 8 GB+ 128 GB and the 12GB+ 256GB RAM. While the processors of both the smartphones are very powerful, there is a significant difference in their prices.
Coming to the battery life, the OnePlus 8 Pro has 4,510 mAH battery while the Mi 10 has a superior 4,780 mAh battery. Both smartphones support wireless charging, but the OnePlus 8 Pro also supports Warp Charge 30T Fast Charging.
In terms of the sound quality, the OnePlus 8 Pro has stereo speakers with noise-canceling technology while the Mi 10 has dual dedicated 1216 super linear speakers with 1.0cc speaker chambers. Thus the former has a slight edge over the latter in terms of sound quality.
