Steam Not Opening In Windows 10 : Multiple Methods To Fix It

  • Step 2: A box will pop up on the screen. Write ‘steam://flushconfig’ and enter ‘OK’ to run the given command.
  • Step 3: It will clear out the data and cache of the system of your Windows 10 PC. After performing this method, Steam will ask to log in again.

Method 2: Process of killing and restarting

At times you might forget to close the Steam inappropriately or have started the App many times ultimately due to which you face this issue.   • Step 5: Now you can restart Steam without any issues.

Method 3: Play Steam on Mobile App or Web Browser

You can easily access steam not only on the Web browser but even on your mobile with the help of a mobile app. Though you won’t be able to play games with this you can chat with your online friends or can purchase any new game available on your steam account.

To use Steam on Web browser:

  • Step 1: Go to ‘Chrome’ or any other web browser such as Firefox etc.
  • Step 2: Now you can simply head to the ‘Steam Store’.

To use Steam on the Mobile app:

  • Step 1: Download the Steam App on your phone and log in to your steam account with the accurate username and password.
  • Step 2: After you have logged in successfully, visit the steam store to purchase any game or chat with your online friends.

Method 4: Steam Reinstallation

If the above-mentioned methods haven’t worked out, you can reinstall Steam to fix the issue of ‘Steam not opening on Windows 10’. Method 5: External drive storage check

There’s a probability of installing steam on an external drive rather than on the hard disk or SSD that might result in runtime error for steam.
