For this upcoming festive season, Xiomi has a big serve on its palette for India. The biggest smartphone seller company in India which is originally from China has now partnered with Dixon Technologies (a homegrown Indian brand). Xiomi is in plans to make 55K television sets each month with the collaboration contract it has made with Dixon technologies. The process is initiated as the inauguration has already been done at the Tirupati plant in Andhra Pradesh, which is where the manufacturing will take place.
The reports also express that the process will start with the TV sets under MI label which will be of sizes 32 inches and 43 inches. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the class of consumer who wants affordable television sets. The 32 inches MI TV sets are having a price range of 13000 to 14000 and they have the 4A specifications. On the other hand, the 43 inches TV sets will cost nearly 23000.
The whole idea of collaborating with the local brand in India is to bring more TV sets of MI to more and more homes. This is because collaboration with local brand will cut the cost hugely. Xiomi is already flaunting its six new mobile manufacturing plants in India and now with the nexus with Dixon, it appears like Xiomi is going to touch colossal heights in the business world in India. Moreover, Xiomi 95% smartphones that are sold in India are, manufactured locally.
Water purifiers, projectors, security cameras, and kitchen equipment are some other products which are other ventures of Xiomi in India. The giant company has been I Home Experience Stores’ in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi. In addition to this, it has 36 Mi Home stores across India. Coming back to the television manufacturing, these devices will have voice assistance and they will obviously be Android powered. This will make sure that the connectivity issues will not be sacrificed over the mass audience.
