Xiaomi, the Indian largest smartphone vendor, has announced that it will launch 5000 outlets in the rural areas of India by the end of 2019 which will generate around 15000 jobs. Xiaomi started selling its smartphones online from 2014 and offline stores in 2017. The organization has two types of stores namely Mi Homes and Mi Preferred Partners.
The organization has announced that its growth has become strong through offline retail stores and so it has planned to launch more offline stores, especially in rural areas. The vice president of the organization, Manu Jain, has told that 500 outlets have already been set and 5000 more will be set by the end of the year 2019

Mi Homes sells all the products of Xiaomi which include televisions, smartphones, and ecosystem products and have been launched in big cities. The stores to be launched in rural areas will have the size of 300 square feet. The launch of these outlets can boost employment opportunities as well as the profits of the organization.
As 40% of the offline store segment still exist in India, as told by Manu Jain, it can generate immense profit. The organization expects to raise the number of Mi Homes and Mi Preferred Partners programme from 50 to 100.
